4-star Georgia commit ready to return to LSU

LSU extended an offer over the weekend to 2025 Cedartown (Ga.) cornerback Tae Harris, who pledged to the Bulldogs in June. The four-star prospect was impressed on his visit for the Texas A&M game.

LSU has him already considering a return visit as the Tigers were able to dispatch the Aggies.

“Great visit,” Harris told On3. “Definitely going to be back. The culture of it all was really interesting!”

LSU safeties coach Kerry Cooks and cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples both chatted with the 6-0, 180-pound prospect as the Tigers extended the offer to him.

“The coaches expressed to me how much they need talent like me in the future he wants me to jump on board to get LSU back to DBU,” Harris said. “Great coaches, even better men. I love Baton Rouge.”

LSU joins Alabama, Florida, Miami, Michigan and Tennessee as the teams Harris noted that are trying to flip him from Georgia. The Bulldogs did a nice job early on of making him feel at home as the in-state program.

“It feels great,” I definitely feel at home and appreciate Georgia for letting family and friends come,” Harris said. “As you can tell they make my mom feel at home as well so that’s always a plus.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Harris ranks as the No. 234 overall prospect in the country, No. 26 overall cornerback nationally and No. 27 prospect in Georgia.
