4-star WR immediately places Gators in top five: ‘I could see myself there’

Another SEC scholarship offer has found its way to 2025 4-star wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright.

The Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy standout visited Florida on Friday morning and earned an offer in the process. It marked his first-ever experience on the Gators’ campus.

A native of Tempe, Arizona, Vines-Bright previously attended Corona del Sol High. That is the same school that produced former Gators wide receiver Ricky Pearsall.

According to the On300 rankings, Vines-Bright is the 29th-ranked wide receiver and 201st-ranked prospect overall.

“The campus was amazing,” Vines-Bright told Gators Online. “I loved the way coach set up the offense and it wasn’t too hard to learn. It really helps knowing Ricky Pearsall and his family, so I would be able to go to him for questions Ricky went to my former high school.

“But I definitely love the campus and vibe. I could see myself here.”

The Gators’ staff made a strong first impression

One of the highlights from Friday’s experience was picking the brain of Florida’s head man.

“It was good to finally meet coach (Billy) Napier,” said Vines-Bright. “I think he’s a great coach and definitely want to learn more about the program.”

Two additional staff members who played a pivotal role on Friday were wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales and assistant wide receivers coach David Doeker.

Those bonds are brand new, but with Vines-Bright now residing in the Sunshine State, returning to Gainesville should be a breeze.

“We went over some of the playbook and plays and kinda just learned more about the program. Then we just kind of got to know each other,” said Vines-Bright. “I’m sure we will talk much more and start building more of a relationship now that I’m an in-state guy.”

Top contender status

As expected, the highlight of Friday’s visit was being informed about his scholarship offer. That alone made the trip well worth it, but it was a strong presentation from UF altogether.

“They are definitely in my top five,” Vines-Bright said of the Gators.

Additional offers for the West Coast native include Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Ole Miss, Washington, UCLA, Stanford, Louisville, Baylor, Utah and Arizona.
