1 on 1 with newly offered QB Noah Grubbs
The Florida Gators on Saturday offered a scholarship to Noah Grubbs, a 2026 quarterback at Lake Mary (Fla.), during his visit to the school. Gators Online caught up with the emerging talent to discuss the offer — and his trip[ to Gainesville.
GO: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would rate Saturday’s visit to UF?
GRUBBS: “My visit was a 10 out of 10. It was strictly a business trip for my family and I. I’ve been up to Gainesville multiple times at camps. Unofficial visits with my QB trainer — and several game visits so I’ve been on campus a lot. This was all about me wanting to know where I stood with them in my recruitment process. Because this is the one school I really wanted and Coach (Ryan) O’Hara and (Coach Billy) Napier let me know that answer fairly quickly today when Coach Napier offered me once I stepped into his office.”
GO: What was the bet part of the visit and why?
GRUBBS: “The best part was receiving the offer and being told by Coach Napier that he was very impressed with me both on and off the field. He gave me a lot of advice as well. So that 30 minutes I had with him was worth the entire time of my being there.”
Noah Grubbs is a believer in UF’s QB development
GO: What do you think about UF’s quarterback development?
GRUBBS: “I love the process Coach O’Hara has with the quarterback development. He has a great relationship with my QB trainer, Coach Baylin Trujillo. And so some of the stuff he likes they share so Baylin has been doing it in our recent trainings. Most coaches I talk to already expect us to be polished when we come in. But Coach O’Hara believes that there is always room for improvement no matter what and it has to be consistent. So I love that about him.”
GO: What do you like most about UF?
GRUBBS: “My favorite thing about UF is the community and family feel with their fans and team that I have experienced at games and on campus. Florida is a special place and they have the most loyal fans in the country.”
GO: What other schools are you hearing from most?
GRUBBS: ‘Right now, the schools I’m talking to the most are Notre Dame, Florida, Virginia Tech, Miami, Michigan, Arkansas, Ohio State, FSU, UNC, UCF, Nebraska and Auburn.”
GO: Will you be back to UF for a spring practice?
GRUBBS: “I plan on being back a lot this spring, attend the spring game and will be back this summer for a couple camps.”
