Board reset: Georgia’s 10 Most Wanted 2025 recruits
Georgia is back in the business of high school recruiting. We’re almost a month and one major recruiting weekend into 2024.
There is a new list of shinny star recruits that Georgia is in the thick of things for moving into the class of 2025. Georgia is off to a good start. The Bulldogs have six commitments already.
The Bulldogs have the No. 3 overall class in the 2025 Industry Ranking Football Team Recruiting Rankings.
Georgia is in a position nationally to climb those charts over the next few months. Here are 10 of Georgia’s most wanted recruits in the 2025 class moving forward.
This story will evolve monthly.
1. 4-star QB Julian Lewis (USC commit)
The Skinny: Lewis reclassified to the class of 2025 last week. He’s still committed to USC. Georgia is still working. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart flew into Carrollton to visit Lewis late in the week. Lewis will visit Georgia in the first weekend of February. The Bulldogs have talent on the current roster. Carson Beck will be back in 2024. He will eventually be claimed by the Sunday league. 2025 is shaping up for a major quarterback battle that could shape the future. Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi are the obvious candidates going into next spring. Lewis could be another name in the ring should Georgia flip him. Lewis could also be a major draw for other key recruits in the 2025, 2026 and 2027 classes. Landing Lewis secures Georgia as a continued major player into the next handful of years.
2. 5-star DL Elijah Griffin
The Skinny: Griffin is a top-four player in the cycle. He’s an elite prospect along the defensive line. Georgia has always placed a premium on having gas many good to great options in their defensive line rotation. Griffin is an in-state prospect. He’s one of the highest-rated defensive linemen to come out of the state in some time. Georgia will hope to keep him in state and combine his skills with the five defensive linemen signed in 2024 and the current five-star commit Justus Terry.
3. 5-star OL David Sanders
The Skinny: Sanders is a potential ‘franchise’ caliber left tackle prospect. Those don’t come around often. Georgia is deep into Sanders’ recruitment. As Georgia leans more heavily on the passing attack, players like Sanders will also become more important.
4. 5-star LB Zayden Walker
The Skinny: Walker is a major priority for Smart. He’s been key in recruiting the talented linebacker from Ellaville. Walker is a potential centerpiece defensive player.
5. 4-star WR Travis Smith
The Skinny: Smith is a match-up problem. At 6-foot-4, 200-pounds and a big-time speed he provides Georgia an opportunity to add a new wrinkle to the passing game: the jump ball. Georgia got the top 70 prospect on campus for Junior Day. They’re heavily involved here.
6. 4-star DL Christian Garrett
The Skinny: Garrett is a local star. He plays 15 minutes away from Sanford Stadium. Like with Griffin, Georgia wants to continue to add depth to a strong defensive line corp. Garrett can play multiple roles. Georgia has had him on campus a ton. He checks a lot of boxes.
7. 4-star OL Juan Gaston
The Skinny: Gaston is a tackle in high school. He’s athletic enough to play any position on the offensive line. Gaston’s size makes him an obvious draw for Georgia. The Bulldogs landed six offensive linemen in the class of 2024. They will take as many talented players with size as they can in any class because you can never have enough. Good offensive line play is hard to find, Georgia can afford to approach Gaston and Sanders for that matter with greed.
8. 4-star RB Ousmane Kromah
The Skinny: Kromah is a home run running back prospect. He can do everything. The Bulldogs have one running back committed in the class of 2025 Bo Walker, which is partially why Kromah is at eight rather than higher. The four-star running back is very much in play for Georgia. His size, speed and versatility helps him fit him into any system.
9. 4-star RB Alvin Henderson
The Skinny: Much of what was said about Kromah, can be said about Henderson. He was on campus last weekend and came away impressed by what Georgia had to offer.
10. 4-star EDGE Bryce Davis
The Skinny: Davis keeps coming back to Georgia. He and four-star Jared Smith are both in this category. Davis is a former teammate of 2023 Georgia signee Jamaal Jarrett. Georgia can never have enough pass rush.
