Alabama schedules ‘secret scrimmage’ with TCU

Alabama basketball isn’t waiting for the regular season to take on quality opponents. On Friday, “Tuscaloosa News” reported Alabama will square off against TCU in a preseason scrimmage.

“For a second consecutive year, the Crimson Tide will face TCU in a preseason matchup in October,” Nick Kelly wrote. “The scrimmage vs. TCU will be held in Birmingham.”

TCU won’t be the Crimson Tide’s only tune-up game. On Oct. 29, Alabama will travel to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for a charity exhibition against Wake Forest. The matchup will be Alabama’s final preseason outing. The Crimson Tide will kick off their regular season against Morehead State on Nov. 6.
