Auburn ‘bumped up for sure’ for 4-star DL Christian Garrett after Iron Bowl visit

AUBURN – Making his first trip to Auburn for a game was 4-star 2025 defensive lineman Christian Garrett from Bogart (Ga.) Prince Avenue Christian School. According to Garrett, this will not be his last, either.

“Yes, I will definitely be back in Auburn,” Garrett said.

Garrett, who holds a 4-star rating by each major recruiting industry, is the No. 71 overall recruit, the No. 9 defensive lineman, and the No. 12 player in the state of Georgia for the class of 2025 according to On3.

‘The atmosphere was crazy’

Garrett was one of many recruits blown away by the crowd and how intense the game was down the stretch.

“The atmosphere was crazy,” Garrett said. “The whole game, crazy. Even when they were down, still the pom-poms were shaking, the crowd was still up, it was just really, really intense, I love it.”

Garrett acknowledged that it was a tough loss for Auburn and Alabama made the play when it counted. He was still impressed with the performance from Auburn as well as Alabama. He felt that it was all laid on the line from both teams.

“Both teams played a really good game, both sides were technically sound,” Garrett said. “Alabama just eventually came away with the win. Both teams played great. They have nothing to hang their heads about.”

What stands out the most about Auburn for Garrett right now?

“Definitely the way they carried themselves through the whole game that was up and down,” Garrett said. “They kept their composure the whole time, even after the game. Just keeping the guys up and building the family with them. I liked that.”

Garrett has heard a lot from several coaches at Auburn.

“Coach (Jeremy) Garrett and Coach (Hugh) Freeze, they want to get me back over here,” Garrett said.

Where does Auburn stand?

Where does Auburn stand after this visit?

“They definitely bumped up, yeah, they bumped up for sure,” Garrett said.

Garrett’s stock as a recruit continues to rise. He will be a top priority for many big programs, including Auburn, moving forward.

“I have offers from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Clemson and some more places like that,” Garrett said.

Garrett has not yet narrowed things down. He wants to give everyone recruiting him a chance before thinking about any kind of decision.

“Taking it slow, giving everybody a chance and making a decision based on the best fit for my family,” Garrett said.
