Auburn Transfer Portal Target Tracker: Defense

The college football transfer portal opened on Dec. 4 and Auburn has been very involved. The Tigers already have sent out offers to several targets, scheduled for official visits for some and opened lines of communication with even more.

Auburn heavily utilized the transfer portal last year and will do so again this year, although it is unknown exactly how many transfers the Tigers. Hugh Freeze might not even know, at least not yet.

“I have no idea how the makeup of the 85 will look in what we have to replace,” he said. “Do we have to replace just 22? Do we have to replace 32? None of us know. I think that’s become the biggest challenge for us coaches is how do we even manage the 85.”

Auburn Live will track Auburn’s portal targets here on our Transfer Portal Target Tracker. Check back daily as we will continuously update the board with additions and subtractions. We will list each position, the number of portal additions we believe Auburn will add at the positions and whether the target is trending up, down or neutral.

Harris visited Auburn before the dead period, but has yet to announce a decision. Auburn would like to add multiple transfer DBs, so more names likely will surface as the six-day transfer visit window opens on Jan. 3.
