WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Well, we have your early a.m. thoughts from Mario Cristobal coming off the North Carolina game. And stay tuned later today as we’ll have more feedback from Cristobal as well as from coordinators Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry upon further review of the game with Clemson up next.

Also this morning be sure to check out our in-depth film study of how North Carolina’s pace on offense really affected what Lance Guidry was trying to get accomplished on defense. Should UM have seen it coming?

And if you missed our full coverage coming off the UNC game we had columns, analysis, our game story and position-by-position report card, feedback from Mario Cristobal and players, keys from the game, a next-day Pro Football Focus analysis of what went right and wrong, Gary Ferman answering all your questions on the message board, photo galleries, video highlights and much more. So be sure to check all that out.

In recruiting?

The Canes climbed in the latest On3 rankings, and we break that down.

Also be sure to check out our scout’s take item on a pair of commitments – Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas teammates Ryan Mack and Kevin Riley.

Plus Heathwood Hall Episcopal School (S.C.) 2025 four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny has caught Miami’s eye and says he’s loved some of the things he’s seen from the Canes defense. So find out where things stand there.

And Newberry (Fla.) High 2025 defensive lineman Jarquez Carter, who has begun to forge a strong bond with defensive line coach Joe Salave’a and the entire Hurricanes staff, updates where things stand.

Over the weekend there also was our Live From The Crib feature with an update on Chance Robinson. Is he solid? There’s also news on the other St. Thomas Aquinas commits in the feature.

There also was the news that Haley Cavinder will be suiting up again in basketball in 2024-25 … but will it be for the Miami Hurricanes?

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

If Parrish doesn’t fumble the ball in the end zone…its a completely different game … Posted by RoyFirestone

I know you cant say one play made the complete difference..Miami was downright awful defensively in their second half….but if Parrish scores on that play it’s a 3 point game with us driving in FG range in the final seconds…what a horrendous turnover…it crushed this team more than any other play…

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“We have become careless, there’s no excuses to it, no pointing fingers, self-pity about it. We have to coach it really, really hard. We have to demand it really hard, put guys on the field better and continue to push competition and make it so that we don’t put the ball on the ground and give ourselves a chance.”

Miami coach Mario Cristobal
