WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Well, we have your early a.m. thoughts from Mario Cristobal coming off the game against Virginia. And stay tuned later today as we’ll have more feedback from Cristobal as well as from coordinators Shannon Dawson and Lance Guidry upon further review of the game with Virginia up next.

Also this morning don’t miss our film analysis with a closer look at what has gone wrong for Tyler Van Dyke. There is a similar theme in his 7 INTs over the last three games.

If you missed our full coverage coming off the Virginia game we had columns, analysis, our game story and position-by-position report card, feedback from Mario Cristobal and players, keys from the game, a next-day Pro Football Focus analysis of what went right and wrong, Gary Ferman answering all your questions on the message board, photo galleries, video highlights and much more.

There’s also a CaneSport TV feature with Nijel Pack you won’t want to miss, as we go up close with the star guard.

In recruiting?

The Hurricanes have continued to target Columbus (Ohio) Thomas Worthington three-star interior defensive lineman Francis Brewu over the last month since they offered him, although the 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive lineman has remained committed to Pittsburgh since March. He updates where things stand.

New Orleans (La.) Edna Carr 2025 EDGE Corey Adams knew a Miami offer was possible after he started communicating with the Hurricanes’ coaching staff the middle of this month, but he was still caught off guard when his high school head coach informed him the Canes pulled the trigger on an offer. Check out what he’s saying now.

We also catch up with Baton Rouge (La.) Southern University Lab School three-star safety Dylan Day, a Miami commit who shares his thoughts on Miami and his status.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Bowl eligibility first … Posted by Bobbie Jo

Goal of the season was achieved. Mario and team playing hard and physical. What a job the coaches and players are doing. Cane haters go climb in a hole.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

Obviously, I’m proud of our guys for the win. A back-and-forth game, one that we didn’t start off very well in. And one that we just found a way to just make enough plays to take this thing into overtime and then find a way to win it. You know, like I told the players in there, football is football and I’m not going to waste a lot of time in the locker room talking about the things that we didn’t do well. I’m going to focus on the fact that we found a way to win and make sure that we congratulate each other because, obviously, we are going to get back to work tomorrow and do the things that we need to, to get better. That being said, credit to Virginia, they proved last week they have a good football team and we knew it. We talked about it. We just didn’t come out very good in the first half and they did some things schematically. Things weren’t clear, the pictures weren’t clear and then we were a little bit flat. Call it what it is, but just find a way and we did.
