Hawkeyes happy to be moving on in NIT
In the first half it was Payton Sandfort leading the way. After the break it was Ben Krikke that took over scoring load as Iowa pulled away for a 91-82 victory over Kansas State on Tuesday evening at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Sandfort finished with a career best 30 points and tied his career high with 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Krikke scored 21 of his 24 points in the second half and pulled down 11 rebounds.
The duo met with the media after the game to discuss how Sandfort got off to a hot start, Krikke stepping up when they took Sandfort away in the second half, and how they just want to keep playing as a team for as long as possible this season.
