Ole Miss signee John Bol named All-Overtime Elite

Ole Miss signee John Bol has received yet another accolade. After helping Cold Hearts to an 11-6 regular season record and three-seed in the Overtime Elite Playoffs, the 7-footer was tabbed as an all-league selection. The four-star prospect lead the league in rebounds (9.9 per game) and was third in blocks (1.8 per game). Bol also averaged 10.6 points per game.

Bol is the second-highest-ranked recruit in program history and was also named a McDonald’s All-American in January. He will compete in the all-star showcase in Houston, Tex., in April. He originally committed to Florida in June, before de-committing a few weeks later.

The blue chip who is originally from Sudan is the No. 50 overall recruit, the 5th-ranked player in Georgia and the No. 7 center in the 2024 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

John Bol is just now showing signs of what most scouts believe he can be.

He started playing basketball in 2019 while living in Nairobi. Bol moved to the United States in 2021 and made an immediate impact at St. Louis Christian Brothers (Mo.) where he broke the school record in blocks as a sophomore. He then transferred to Sunrise Christian (Kan.) in 2022. He plays for Mokan Elite on the EYBL circuit and is fluent in five languages including Arabic, English and Swahili, per OTE.
