Snap Counts: Iowa Defense
The Iowa defense came up big once again, allowing only 10 points at Nebraska and forcing a key turnover in the final minute to setup the game winning field goal for the Hawkeyes in their 13-10 victory over the Huskers on Black Friday.

Defensive Line
Joe Evans – 58 snaps
Ethan Hurkett – 52 snaps
Logan Lee – 46 snaps
Yahya Black – 40 snaps
Aaron Graves – 23 snaps
Max Llewellyn – 7 snaps
Deontae Craig – 6 snapes
Analysis: Listed as questionable coming into the game, Craig got the start but saw limited snaps, which created a bigger role for Hurkett, who had a career-high nine tackles including 1.5 tackles for loss and the big interception late in the fourth quarter that helped win the game for the Hawkeyes. Evans, Black, and Lee each recorded three tackles, while Graves had two in the game. Black and Graves were each credited with half a sack and Evans led the team in pressures with six on the day.
Linebacker
Jay Higgins – 58 snaps
Nick Jackson – 53 snaps
Kyler Fisher – 20 snaps
Analysis: Higgins once again went the distance for the Iowa defense, playing all 58 snaps and finishing the game with eight tackles and a half tackle for loss. Jackson collected four tackles and one sack and Fisher finished with three tackles in the game.
Defensive Back
Deshaun Lee – 58 snaps
Jermari Harris – 58 snaps
Quinn Schulte – 58 snaps
Sebastian Castro – 58 snaps
Xavier Nwankpa – 43 snaps
Analysis: Castro had yet another impressive game with four tackles, two tackles for loss, and a forced fumble on Friday. Elsewhere, Schulte had three tackles, while Nwankpa, Harris, and Lee each had two.
