Texas offers Baylor commit out of Mississippi
The Texas Longhorns staff has made a third offer to senior in the last three weeks.
After offering Auburn defensive line verbal Dimitry Nicolas out of Florida and Florida 5-star safety verbal Xavier Filsaime out of the DFW area, the Longhorns went into Mississippi and made an offer Tuesday night.
Tuesday night, Texas extended an offer to Baylor defensive line commitment Alex Foster.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive lineman was offered by Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis.
Foster committed to Baylor July 30 over Arkansas and Georgia Tech.
Foster, 6-foot-5 and 235-pounds as a junior, is one of the most improved players physically in the state of Mississippi as a senior.
Kentucky extended and offer August 1, and Ole Miss is expected to offer soon.
Through eight games this season, Foster has posted 38 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He has posted a tackle for loss and sack in every game this season for the St. Joseph Fighting Irish.
Foster had 14 offers when he committed to the Bears.
Texas defensive line commits
The Longhorns currently have three defensive line commits in the 2024 class. The staff would ideally like to add a fourth high school prospect to the class.
The class currently consists of On3 4-star’s Alex January and D’Antre Robinson and three-star Melvin Hills.
