Transfer wide receiver, former On3 four-star visiting Georgia
DawgsHQ’s Rusty Mansell mentioned Jaron Glover as one of the names set to visit Athens this weekend earlier this week, and the former On3 four-star prospect confirmed via a post to X that he had arrived for his official visit this weekend.
Glover was enrolled two years with the Michigan State Spartans, the team he chose over the likes of Indiana, Wake Forest, USF, and Coastal Carolina, and came to East Lansing by way of Sarasota, Florida’s Riverview High School.
During his time with the Spartans, Glover appeared in nine games catching 15 balls for 263 yards and averaging 17.5 yards per catch during his tenure.
Ahead of his trip to Athens, Glover told DawgsHQ he ‘couldn’t wait to get to UGA’.
It’s a relationship that has been developing for sometime, as well.
The 6-foot-1, 205 pound redshirt freshman told DawgsHQ that the Georgia staff has been involved for some time now.
“(It’s been) since I entered the portal on December 9,” Glover said.
Currently, the Bulldogs are believed to also be largely involved with transfer portal wide receivers London Humphreys, formerly of Vanderbilt, and Colbie Young, formerly of Miami.
On3 Scouting Report on Jaron Glover
“We were already higher than most on Jaron Glover. He’s a physically developed receiver with good junior video along with track and basketball athleticism. Still, his play through a few games into his senior season at Sarasota (Fla.) Riverview has caught our eye.
Glover made some flash plays against defending state champs Sanford (Fla.) Seminole and a secondary that features On300 prospects Ja’Cari and Demari Henderson. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Glover was able to win at the catch point and made a pair of impressive over-the-shoulder catches on vertical routes. The next week, he showcased the long speed, blowing by an opposing corner for an easy score.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings, on Jaron Glover
