Two priority in-state targets set to visit Ohio State this weekend
COLUMBUS — Ohio State is hosting a critical number of visitors this weekend and the list continues to grow.
Lettermen Row learned on Thursday morning that two of the Buckeyes’ biggest in-state priorities in the 2025 cycle are heading to the Woody on Saturday. Four-star Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer offensive tackle Carter Lowe and four-star Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods EDGE Justin Hill both confirmed with Lettermen Row they will be visiting Ohio State.
Lowe is the No. 88 overall prospect, the No. 9 offensive tackle and the No. 3 Ohio prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings. On3 has Lowe at No. 172, No. 13 and No. 10, respectively.
Hill is the No. 166 overall prospect, the No. 13 EDGE and the No. 7 Ohio prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings. On3 has Hill at No. 128, No. 7 and No. 6, respectively.
Both prospects visited Ohio State during the regular season. Lowe was on campus for the Western Kentucky, Maryland and Penn State games. Hill was on campus for the Penn State game as well as the Spring Game in April.
Each of the Ohioans has a top schools list with the Buckeyes on the list. There have been rumblings of Lowe ending his recruitment soon, and with his upcoming visit to Ohio State, this could very well be the weekend.
Hill originally wasn’t going to visit Ohio State this weekend, but when James Laurinaitis and Tim Walton visited him last week, that swayed his stance. Hill is scheduled to visit Oregon on Jan. 27 and then return to Ohio State on Feb. 3. That schedule might change now that he is heading to Columbus this weekend.
Lowe holds Ohio State in very high regard and his relationship with offensive line coach Justin Frye is second to none. That’s been the driving force for the Buckeyes this entire time, and head coach Ryan Day has inserted himself into this recruitment as well.
“Even in the beginning of my recruitment, I talked to Ohio State a lot more than other places which I’ve always liked,” he said. “I’ve been a priority for them. They definitely from the jump had separated themselves.”
Hill and Ohio State have been linked together ever since he earned his offer last spring. It was a moment he had been waiting, but never truly thought would happen.
“I mean, this is crazy,” he said. “This is my dream school, I never thought I would be in this position to hold an offer from the Ohio State University, I’m at a loss for words.”
