Owen Freeman posts double-double in victory

When Tony Perkins wasn’t scoring baskets in the second half, he was telling Owen Freeman that he was a beast, even against the strong big men of Wisconsin. He wasn’t lying either as the odds on favorite to be named Big Ten Freshman of the Year posted another double-double in the win over the Badgers. Freeman finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 blocks to help lead the Hawkeyes to a much needed signature victory this season.

Following the win, Freeman talked about his play in the game, the message he repeatedly heard from Perkins while he was in the game with him, and the thoughts of Patrick McCaffery on how important this win was for the Iowa program.
