VQ Podcast: Updates on Tennessee in the transfer portal

The transfer portal has officially been open for one week and there’s been several Vols who have announced they are leaving the program. How big of a loss is the Tennessee defensive backfield taking right now? Who are some others who could leave this week?

Tennessee is also evaluating several tight ends and other players from the transfer portal. What is the latest on who could be coming to town and when should we expect Tennessee to land its first commitment from the portal?

The Volunteers basketball team also jumped back into the win column versus a ranked opponent. How good of a win was that for Tennessee on Saturday and which players are key for a long, sustaining season of success?

Quote of the Pod on Tennessee

Rob Lewis on Tennessee’s win over Illinois on the basketball court…

“Yeah, I thought a really good win for Tennessee. We’ll see how it turns out as the season goes on, but I think that’s a good Illinois basketball team that will be a factor in the Big 10. For Tennessee, you can talk about playing a great schedule, and you know what that does for you in November, but you need to win some games. I thought that was really good for the team just to get into the win column against a quality opponent like that. I thought they were really good in the second half, on both ends of the floor, but I thought that was by far the most impressive 20 minutes of the season.”
